   Maybe they are scared that they will not have enough students (due to dragging it out so long and those students already committing to other programs) that they are keeping the rejects (me included) hanging on in case they need to pull from our pool....

   Argh!!!! I wrote a response but my computer crapped out while it was posting. I basically said: It's ok! I think I'm just feeling super sensitive and like a huge loser about this whole thing. It's really hard to just not know anything but already...

    Yeah - it's a tiny bit insensitive to say that your place on the wait list is humiliating. At least it's not a straight up rejection....
