  2. 4 month old with chronic constipation

our docs recommend dark kayro syrup in each bottle. but...i do think this child needs a better workup and referral to a peds GI ASAP! If you dont get anything out of your primary pedi..move on and get in with a specialist.
  3. Ampicillin/Cefotaxime in Febrile Neonate

In our ER, we push both of them each over 3-5 min. Most of the docs do 50mg/kg/dose, so the dosages are the same. Our policy for gent is 30 min and Vanc is 1 hr.

  9. trachealmalasia

could be laryngomalacia. Get a referral to a pediatric ENT and have them scope your child. Our ENT will scope in the ER sometimes. He puts lidocaine in the nares and the babies don't seem to mind it.
  10. Triage

Our patients are seen initially by the triage nurse and usually sent back out to the waiting room to get a chart made. They only come straight back if their condition warrants it. I couldn't imagine taking pts straight back (would be a big HA where I...
