Should I be an Assistant DON at 6 months?

OP, then this is where you should remain for now - at the bedside, honing your RN skills. I am sure as a longtime CNA in the same facility you would do much better in the ADON role than a new grad who just walked into the place for the first time six...

Tips for a new Remote Triage Nurse?

Well I don't work triage (not since the ER, anyway), but I have been working from home since 2019. My tips are: have a separate workspace. Leave that workspace when you are done with work and don't return to it until it's time to work again. (I reali...

LPN in school for RN with DUI

Are you saying that you have not reported this to the board yet? I think these are typically case by case, and it's just going to depend on your BON and situation. I think you might want to check with your school because there could be issues with wh...

Need advice for false positive drug screen

I am so sorry for your loss. I have heard that NSAIDs can cause false positives on urine drug screens, but I am not sure about oral swabs. But I would advise you to read your student handbook as it might have information on what to expect for next st...

Have a BA how can I get a fast BSN?

Don't forget to see if your employer provides tuition reimbursement, and what the stipulations are for using it. Some schools also provide discounts for nurses employed at certain facilities or healthcare systems, too. Good luck!!

    Military Nursing

You must have some degree as you are a commissioned officer. What is your degree in? You cannot "switch out" if you are not a nurse - you can only branch transfer (potentially, and based on recruiting mission) if you are an RN with a BSN. Nursing sch...

Chamberlain online RN to BSN review

I think I did, but that was like 15 years ago, LOL. But I taught in this program as well, and I had students who went on vacation. I would recommend reaching out to your professor, but I am pretty sure the policy remains that assignments and posts ca...
  10. If I recall correctly, this has to be coordinated through the GBON. Have you contacted them?
  11. My escape country is New Zealand. 😊 Or Spain, I can actually become a citizen due to my heritage - I just have to learn Spanish. Haha. We somehow keep ending up in states so red they are maroon! The next move in 2025 will be our choice instead of dir...

Have you ever wanted to see a coworker fail?

You're not wrong. Back in the 90s when I was very active in the pagan community, there were some folks we called "fundamentapagans." They were so over the top!

    Decapitated baby

Possibly. And if the in-utero death wasn't apparent until heading for an emergent c-section, those are often done under general anesthesia. This whole thing is just heartbreaking.

    Decapitated baby

The hospital claims that the baby died in utero before the decapitation. The whole thing is just so horrific. 😞 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/doctors-weigh-georgia-couples-baby-decapitation-rcna99869
