    Don't you need 1750 hours of critical care at the bedside before you can take the CCRN?

    If you're not yet, get your ACLS cert and become a member of the AACN. Do some critical care modules on their website and you'll be armed with a LITTLE more knowledge about what you're trying to get into. It might turn a few heads when you apply

    I'm in my 3rd night of nsg orientation. It's a really really steep learning curve. Just learning about the vents and abg values and how they correlate with each other is taking a lot of time to grasp. I do feel blessed and lucky I was able to do this...

    Not sure you want to " fake it until you make it" in that situation. Have you taken the ACLS class yet?

    Thanks for the info! I'm a new grad that's going to start orientation into level 1 trauma ICU so other than do you know of any other material? Maybe specifically for trauma?
