How was the interview process? I've been told it's both group and individual?
@ ml52789 because your husband is military, you should be considered IN STATE not out of state resident. It requires you to send them a copy of his orders and something else. I talked to someone about the residency info when I was first applying.
Congrats to all that got into a program. @ml52789 I got my BBA in International Business. And yes Trident's other CNA option is really good. I really learned a lot and the clinicals were an eye opener and very much enjoyed the experience.
I got my certification with Trident Tech's continuing education. I didn't go through the other program they have where you take classes. Mine was a little over a month long and one week clinicals. Mine is Navy.
@ml52789, My grades weren't the best, cumulative wise. It was around a 3.2 something, but I had a high science and pre-req GPA. I will agree with what furmangal said about they look at the applicant as a whole. I have applied three times and each time I improved my application. I couldn't do a thing about my grades, but really turned out a better essay than my first one, I did volunteering for almost a year with the Mayo clinic, got really good recommendations, and what I think helped, was got my CNA certification once I got here. I think they like seeing repeat applicants show they have tried to improve on their packages. Also, my hubby is military as well like yours!
I just got my acceptance letter! Hopefully you all got something today as well.
@jnlaw I second the West Ashley area. I live here and love it. It's not far from everywhere, yet not quite as expensive and very safe in my opinion.
I just want to say good luck to the rest of us who haven't found out yet. If you do happen to get a rejection letter, please don't give up. This is my third time applying and each time I have tried to improve my package. I'm just hoping third time's a charm
Well now I'm a little aggravated because I'm local and got nothing in the mail today!
I have applied twice before and not received an email from campus housing. I checked today and they are not done sending out letters yet.
Normally they take till around March time frame. I applied last year at this time and got a letter early March. They will notify you by mail with a letter stating whether you got in or not. A big envelope is a good sign, small envelope not as good.
Hi guys. I also applied to MUSC for Fall 2013. This will be my third try. I was accepted as an alternate for Spring, but obviously wasn't picked. Competition is stout unfortunately. I have a 3.2 Cumulative GPA, 3.7 science and 3.8 Pre-req GPA. I am also a CNA and volunteered previously with the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Good luck to everyone!
I just found out I am an alternate as well.
I also applied for the spring class. SouthernBell may I ask what your stats were?
