Mind your own business. That's the way you can deal with it.

It your job too. Just because you're a nurse doesn't mean you're above that task. You're no better than the tech.

All of the signs are there.. especially the erratic behavior. How would you go about reporting it?

What are you guys thoughts on this. This is a common occurrence at our facility as of late. Nurses are livid and tired of it. There's nothing like being forced to be a sitter for someone on isolation and then having to return to your home unit if census picks up, dragging MRSA, C-diff or vre back to labor room?

Floating is garbage. I chose my specialty for a reason. If management on other units cannot staff them, it piss poor on their part and they should be disciplined.

It doesnt matter how high end the hospital is.. tthese folks are there for a reason..that same reason that makes them the same as thousands go to hospitals... they are SICK!!! These people kill me with their attitudes..as if they can treat us anyway the want. If these pts had any idea what I was thinking most of the time..they' d be scared. Dont be nasty to me..im here to help you!!!!😡

We have pts on pain meds all the time . Why did you leave her alone? Because shes a grown woman..this isnt her first rodeo and she was fine!! How is that ur fault??

Weve be having to float too. I think its an excuse by mgmt to keep from hiring staff to cover these units. We are sitters and pcas..and frankly we are all tired of it. No one cares about how we feel..our mgr is worthless and the staff is very unhappy. Im sorry..I used to be a pca when I was in nursing school....after finishing nursing school I worked on a surgical floor..notice these are mentioned in past tense. If i wanted to be a med surg nurse thats what id be working right now!! I have a real problem with that..and if we get busy..Im suupposed to go back and take care of moms and babies(with my mrsa infected scrubs)

Im am 100% with OP. I understand people need assistance. That does not give pts the right to treat staff like garbage with a sense of entitlement. I am human too and I have feelings just as they do and they have no right to treat me this way. Amd I dont care who it offends but the truth
