  1. Travel assignment in San Fran area

I believe American Mobile and their sister companies have a contract with Kaiser facilities, which are hospitals all throughout California. They may have a little better chance of getting you to your San Fran destination.

  3. Prescription Coverage as a Travel Nurse

Would your current doctor be willing to write separate prescriptions for several months so you can have a continuous supply if you explained your situation? Then you can just have the new script filled each month? I believe a controlled substance pre...
  4. Computer training for travel nurses

You will do fine. Don't let that hold you back. Some hospitals will give you a computer class orientation. Some have given me a full 8 hr class. When all else fails default to the "nurses notes". That's my strategy.

  11. AS to BSN while traveling?

I am tossing the idea of working on my BSN while I am traveling. I can't decide if this is the best idea or not. One of the things holding me back is the cost of my BSN. I think if I hold out I could maybe get a hospital to help pay for it when I se...

It only took me about 4 weeks to get my license by endorsement. Just make sure you have all your ducks in a row and it should go smoothly. :)
  15. Cant get first travel nursing assignment

With this being your 1st travel assignment you definitely have to be very very flexible. I took my 1st assignment in California (from Florida). California is supposedly the easiest to get your 1st assignment. After that it will get easier. Most agenc...
