  2. You know you're a CNA when...

When your CNA sences are on high alert when you see a elderly person in the grocery store and you think what do I have to do help them. You feel you need to be right there and walk next to them to try to catch them if they fall. (Where is that gait b...

  4. As long as you did not sign any paperwork that requires you to work X amount of time after getting the certification you are under no obligation legally to have to work for them. Though I do agree that it looks alittle shady to jump to another job as...
  5. Are ER Patients Getting More Ridiculous?

The one I actually did myself was bring my few day old baby to the er with me and my husband when I was the patient. I had a C-Section and one night started to bleed what seemed like a pretty good amount of fresh blood and I was starting to feel funn...
  6. I'm the worst CNA they ever had

Is there somewhere in the field of teaching that you could love and still use your teaching degree. What about being a tutor either private or working at a place like Sullivan. There are a lot of online programs as well that might be looking for qua...
  9. Quit being a CNA

I'd say it can all depend on what about CNA work you did not like. Being a nurse can be totally different then being a CNA. But if you dont like the health care environment then nursing might not be for you. I think shadowing a nurse would be a great...
  10. I'm the worst CNA they ever had

Yes what you are describing can be true. But our agency has a minimum 2hr visits. We don't go to 7 homes in a day.
  11. I'm the worst CNA they ever had

Being in home care can be difficult. You will have clients that you will love like your own grandparents and then there will be clients that you want to just hide under you covers when the morning comes and wish it was the next day so you will not ha...
  12. Who's Paying????

Maybe they are already in nursing school and they are studying a unit about IVs right now. I agree that I don't understand the obsession over IVs if you are only a pre nursing student
  13. Special Snowflake!

But...but...but there are so many people out there that need to know about how special of a snowflake they truly are. Isn't it our duty to make sure they know this about themselves.

  15. CNA online class?

100% online class.....nope you won't find it. Like PP said you have to do clinical somewhere. Its probably a place that the class has access to. My class was able to go to the local VETS home. It was a great experience.
