Thanks Joysa!! Congratulations on getting an interview with OLLMC!! I do not know of how many seats they have filled thus far. Posts thats I've read from the last 2-3 years prior indicate that they do have waiting lists, I guess just in case somone who is accepted decides to not accept the offer then they can offer someone else that spot. I assume it would be the same this year but I do not know for sure. As for the interview, just relax, be yourself, and let your personality shine throughout. I can't promise you that they won't ask you any clinical questions because everyone's interview is different. For the interview and exam, I would just brush up on CCRN materials, ACLS protocols, etc just in case. Do you have your CCRN by the way? The exam does cover some chemistry (that part of it is either you know it or you don't). Don't freak out, you will be just fine. The faculty is really nice and do not set out to intimidate you. Good luck and keep us posted!!

You know I definitely will!! I can't wait!! I'm just counting down the days and want to make sure that I enjoy every little bit of freedom I have left lol. I'm even more ecstatic to return and begin this exciting journey that lies ahead. It's going to be a wonderful experience for all of us. You're welcome regarding the interview info. No problem. I see the process moved along fairly quickly with regards to you receiving all of your financial aid and starting classes. Wow!! That is truly amazing!! I'm so proud of you for accomplishing so much prior to beginning the program. I'm happy to know that everything was done in such a timely manner and without incident. With regrads to PM, I believe you have to have a certain number of posts before you are able to PM on this site. I think it's around 15 or so. Whenever you're able to use it, feel free to PM me anytime. That would be great!! I will definitely be in touch and will continue to keep you updated on everything that's going on. I am wishing you all the best with your classes and know you will totally ace them!!

Thanks so much again Mr.e01 and I commend you once more on your acceptance as well!! It's the best feeling in the world and you have inspired me so much and were extremely helpful!! I just booked a little vacay to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for a week to celebrate my success and my B-Day in early November. I figured I would squeeze in one last vacation before I begin online courses and of course the actual program next year lol

On that day there were 8 of us, 5 in the 10AM group and 3 in the 11:30AM group. I was in the 11:30am group and was the last to interview. My interview was about 25-30 minutes. I had so much to say. The other two interviews were about 10-15 minutes each. I remember looking at the clock while I was waiting for my turn to get an approximate idea of how long it would be. I don't know of anyone else who was accepted who interviewed that day. I hope they utilize this site and come across this thread so we can correspond with them or maybe we can start one and see what happens. I absolutely love the faculty!! They are wonderful and really made me feel at ease. So nice and supportive too!! That greatly appealed to me.

I'm so happy that you have already begun your online core courses. They always end up being more difficult since we don't actually attend classes physically but you're doing well so far. That's great!!! I'm mailing off my letter of acceptance today and informed them of my strong desire and intent to complete as many online core courses as I possibly can before the program starts. Anything to decrease the courseload/stress, I'm all for it because this is going to be a very long and hard journey. We have to make it a little easier on ourselves somewhat. How soon after you mailed in your letter did you register for and begin your online classes?

Thanks so much DMoore!! The interview was great, very laid back actually, not hard at all. I think the hardest part is controlling your nerves because everyone gets nervous and they expect this. I was nervous initially but once I started talking, I felt relaxed, the nervousness quickly faded and I was fine. They made me feel very much at ease. It was with the panel including the PD, APD, and Clinical Professor. I absolutely love the faculty. They were all so nice, helpful, and very supportive. I had a wonderful feeling about it from the moment I got there. I promise you will be fine. Once you relax, the nervousness will go away. You just have to go in there and own it. You want to display confidence, but not cockiness. Take advantage of the time you have to prepare. That will work in your favor too!! I'm happy for you DMoore and I know you will do well!!

Hello Mr.E01!! How are you? I just wanted to update you on my progress with OLLMC. The wait is finally over and I am proud to say that we will be classmates!! I received my acceptance letter yesterday and I am truly ecstatic and overjoyed!! I just got back from celebrating not too long ago and have more to arrange. The wait was the hardest part of the process for me but the extreme happiness that I feel made it all worthwhile. The interview was a success and went very well!! I had a really good feeling about it once I left. Talk about overprepared lol I didn't have to do half of what I did but nevertheless I am glad that I gave it 110% and my all. I have no regrets and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It was all worth it. The exam wasn't that bad at all. I had great vibes about the program and everyone there. Everyone was so nice, supportive, and helpful. I can't wait to start in April 2013!! I want to start taking classes from now as well to lessen my workload once the program begins and will arrange that this week. I just wanted to thank you once more for all of your words of encouragement and continued support throughout this entire process!! I can't wait to meet you next year!!

Hello Shooglebear and congratulations on your invitation to interview with Drexel as well!! It's such a wonderful feeling. If you haven't done so already, type in Drexel University CRNA interview in the search box and you will come across several posts regarding their interview process and what to expect. I found some extremely useful posts when I was searching. Good luck to you and keep us all posted on your progress!!

Hello DMooreRN!! How are you? I know it has been quite a while. Congratulations on getting an invitation from Drexel U to interview!! I also was invited for an interview with Drexel U for Nov. 14th last month but will be cancelling since I got accepted to Our Lady of Lourdes Anesthesia program!! I just got my letter yesterday. I am so excited and let me tell you, waiting to hear a response really IS the hardest part of the process (at least for me)...it's so nerve racking lol. I'm just glad the wait is over and this is my 1st choice school so I'm sticking with it. I can't wait to start in April 2013. Did you ever get to attend Drexel's open house? How did it go? Please keep me posted on your progress...I know you will get in!!

Hello all!! I was just wondering if anyone has applied to SUNY Downstate's CRNA program in the past and if so, how did you find their interview process to be? Was it more laid back, clinical heavy, or a combination of both? How long did it take to hear something regarding an interview? How long after the interview were you informed of acceptance? Also, for any current SUNY Downstate CRNA students or graduates out there, how would you describe their program? I applied to start in Fall 2013. I am patiently waiting to hear back from them regarding an interview. Boy do I hate playing this waiting game lol It is the hardest part of the process. I hope someone can shed some light on these questions...anyone...please. Thanks!!

Congratulations YankeesRN on your acceptance!!! I know this is one of the happiest times of your life!! Thanks for the reply by the way! So you applied in July of 2011? Wow, that was a while back and took quite a long process from what you wrote but it obviously payed off and I'm sure it was well worth the wait!! I believe when I called several weeks ago regarding my application status, I was told not to expect to hear anything for at least the next 8 weeks. This of course seems like forever to me but it is what it is. Your post was quite helpful. Thanks again and Congratulations once more!!!

Thanks you much DMooreRN!!! I am super excited!! I am just counting down the final days now. This is what I've been waiting for and the big day is almost here!! Thank goodness I've had several weeks to prepare. I took advantage of this time and have prepared quite extensively. I am ready. I am still waiting to here from SUNY Downstate about an interview. I contacted the PD who informed me that phone calls will be made in Sept. and Oct. regarding interviews. Since my application package was submitted early and is finally in the possession of the CRNA program admissions committee, I hope I hear something back from them sooner than later, hopefully this month. As for Drexel, I am still waiting to something from them. It is so hard to play this waiting game. I feel that waiting is the hardest part of the process. I did not get to attend their Open House by the way. It didn't work with my schedule. Did you get to attend? If so, how was it? Did you hear anything back from them or any other schools as of yet? Keep me posted. I'll be sure to let you know how everything goes next week!!

Hello Kenmartins!! Thank you so much for replying. I am glad to receive input from a current student in the program. I have been practicing with my mom, fiance, and by myself for several weeks and feel very comfortable and confident in all of my responses. I am always sure to always come across as genuine, sincere, and myself when I practice. That is the most important thing. Every time I practice, I act as if it is the real deal and it has helped greatly. I definitely will not come across as scripted or robotic for sure and I don't when I practice. I just wanted to truly think through each question thoroughly and take the time to explore how I truly feel and how I will respond. I am happy that I've had the time to give tremendous thought to all of the definite questions and possible questions that I will be asked. I would hate to be asked a question that I should've explored and given thought to on my own and be caught off gaurd. I hate that feeling lol. I am happy to know that you're are enjoying your clinical rotations so far and to hear positive feedback about the program. Another success story!! Thanks again for replying and for the words of wisdom!!

Well, time is winding down and the date is drawing nearer now that we are in September. I am feeling great about it and I am super excited!!! I am just so happy that I have had ample time to prepare myself extensively with regards to interview questions and studying material. I can truly say that I am ready. You are right Mr.e01, I am ecstatic to have even gotten this far in the process. That in itself is a blessing. It is extremely wise of you to take MSN courses prior to starting the program...very smart move. I admire you for wanting to further your education after becoming a CRNA. That is excellent!! You are a success story and I thank you again for your words of encouragement. I am looking forward to being in your position very soon!!
