About calwen

calwen has 27 years experience as a BSN, RN and specializes in Med/Surg Tele.

I am a nurse who has worked in a variety of roles throughout my career. I have worked acute care (neuro, ortho, med-surg, tele, PACU, float) in big and small hospitals, urgent care clinics, medical/chart review, and now in a community health role. I am currently working for a non-profit agency serving low income seniors, and partner with social workers and an occupational therapist in a preventative health case management program. My role encompasses screening eligible candidates for our program, health education, health care consult for our team, nurse navigator for patients/families, and home visits to high-risk patients. I pull on all my past experience as a nurse in my current job. I get to be completely flexible and autonomous in my position, and love every minute!
