    i live in nc and i think you have to have at least 1 year expirence in public health. they also require a bsn or higher.

  4. i am scared everytime i go to work. having 9-10 patients on my surgical floor at night is really overwhelming. i think being scared helps me stay on top of things. it also helps build time management skills.

    i usually have 10 at night (7p-7a). I am a new nurse(may 2005) it is real hard. i love it but many times I feel overwhelmed. I am just sticking it out for the expirence. I love being a nurse, and will eventually try ICU.

    I agree with the others. I think you should go talk with you director of nursing. Do not let them cause you to question whether you choose the right profession.
