  1. As others have indicated, there is certainly potential for meeting someone at a hospital or other healthcare related workplace. Clearly, it's the guys that have the advantage in terms of male:female ratio, but anything is possible. People that work i...
  2. SRJC ADN 2013/2014

I got accepted as well! I've been applying to RN programs for 2 years, and this is my 2nd time applying at SRJC. I checked out the campus last weekend, and was pretty impressed. A good friend of mine grew up near Santa Rosa, and had a lot of good thi...
  3. Thanks a lot for posting about your experiences. I am a nursing student with extensive experience with computers (moving from IT into nursing, actually). I hope to combine my interests in medicine with my interest in computers. I figure the best way ...
  4. Finally accepted into American River College's RN program!

I also received my letter of rejection from ARC yesterday. A disappointment, to be sure, but not surprising. This was my third consecutive application to ARC. I’ll try again for fall, 2013… maybe I’ll get lucky. I took a look at the new multi-selec...
  5. Sacramento City College New Selection Criteria

I think the “point system” for getting into the application pool at SCC is a bit strange. I thought I had a pretty strong academic record, yet I was still short of the minimum number of points before getting 5 extra points for working while taking my...

Attention mjs488, Since I do not yet have 15 posts, I am unable to respond to your PM . If you wish to reach me, please do so at hgw613 at spam off dot comcast dot net (removing the obvious anti-spam insert of course).
  7. To those that have been repeatedly applying to ARC/SCC or elsewhere to no avail: I suggest applying to at least one school that utilizes a wait list rather than a lottery. Depending on how the lottery is conducted, you might never get it despite how...
  8. Enter your TEAS V Scores here!!

I second the suggestion of buying the study guide and taking the 2 online practice exams. The study guide also contains an addition 2 (paper) practice exams. If you do well on the practice tests, you should do well on the exam. Others have stated ...

  10. Im worried Online pre-req classes will lower my chances?

In my experience, there is no notation on your transcript as to whether a particular class was taken online or in-person. It simply shows the term (e.g., Spring, 2011), department, course number, course name, number of units, and grade.
  11. Los Medanos for Fall 2011?

If someone can send me a picture of the posted lottery results as well, I'd appreciate it. I don't yet have 15 posts, so I'll be glad to respond by email. Thanks!
  12. Merritt College Fall 2012

Hello fellow admits, I've also been accepted into the program for the fall. Like others, I'm wary of the negative comments. I'm going to make another trip to the campus, talk to some key people, and read everything that I can about the program, the...
  13. ati practice teas v compared to actual test

I also scored higher on the actual TEAS V than on the practice tests (6 percentage points). I'm not sure what this is a reflection of (random chance, good guesses on questions I wasn't sure of, actual difference in difficulty between the two, etc.),...
