   Does anyone know how long it takes on average to get a license by endorsement in Louisiana? I would have filled out the temporary permit but it requires an address and I won't have an address until I work in LA as an RN.

   I lived in NY all my life. The RN salaries are great here, I make about 68K a year. I will be getting almost 20K less by moving to LA but supposedly the cost of living is less there. I just want a change and really liked the New Orleans area.

   I did it! I graduated 12/06, got a job as an RN in 2/07 and today I bought myself a brand new car! It's the best thing (other than going to nursing school) I ever did for myself.

   I was hired as a new grad on permit to Coney Island Hospital in Feb of this year. (Brooklyn, NY) Salary for day shift is $61,527 a year. I have no dependants so taxes take over 33% of my salary.

    Still a nursing student but keep in touch with some grads. Maimonides hired 3 recent grads for the night shift. Starting salary for AAS was 62,000. 12 hour shifts. Dont know the ratios though.
