   Ive been a nurse for 13 years. I began a new job on an oncology floor in January. I love it. Great team work and support (with exception of a few lol). Problem is.....I have stress and anxiety the day/night prior to shift. I dont sleep well, i guess...

   I tried being honest and asking I could call out and use pto for last 2 days. They said no. Wouldn't count the full 30 days. This system is fairly new to area and I drive 50 minutes to and from.

   My clinical manager did say she was going to see if they would make an exception for me so there is a possibility they may let me do 2 weeks without penalty. We shall see. Thanks for all replies! Happy Holidays!

    What do I tell my current employer? Especially if the new one wants to call for reference? Dont mean to be stupid but dont wanna shoot myself in the foot. I want to do it in the right process.
