   I currently work for a director with a business background. He is very hands off when it comes to the nurses. I think in the year I've worked for him, I've gotten a total of two emails from him.

    The more people I see truly suffer, the less empathy I have for those who are just uncomfortable. Also, it's really hard to care about how someone feels if they're getting on your nerves.

    Twist the tube between your fingers a little bit the whole way down, not just when you're trying to get over the hump. It'll help the tube glide down past the tongue instead of getting caught in the mouth.

    I really LOVE about 10% of what I do, I don't mind about 70%, and I hate about 20%. Paperwork/charting can really only be so fulfilling.
