   We have a midwife service. They are nervous also. Midwives are a dime a dozen here. No jobs.

   Be careful about only listening with a doppler. An RN did that where I work and they did a c-section on a stillborn. Now there is no proof. Lawsuit followed.

   You are correct. If it was not 4 hours your baby should get a cbc/diff and cultures.

   Maybe you should stay and work on the unit. It would be a neat to learn something new. I'm sure your coworkers would love for you to stay. You would be able to work weekends like you do now.
