    Try a non-hospital area if you want to. Nursing isn't just confined to the bedside although that is where the bulk of nursing is if I may say so. But the nursing profession is so broad, try not to limit yourself.

    usually Q1 in the ICU. more frequently when on drips and unstable.

    We jot down important details on the KARDEX. Yes, we still have those. Or sometimes, I try reading the MDs clinical abstracts saved on the computer.
  12. 12 hour shifts

    We used to have 12-hour shifts but they changed it to 8. It didn't make any sense to us why they would do that. 12-hour shifts were better for us because it meant lesser days spent in the hospital and longer days off.

  14. @steffi_pie, I'm still here in the PH, awaiting my AHPRA letter of approval. :) As for me, I started the process by myself. I didn't avail of any loan. I took my IELTS Nov2011 and lodged my application with AHPRA Jan2012. I just did a lot of research...
