  2. 3rd shift nursing as a new nurse with no experience

I was a new nurse, still am, started my first nursing job on 3rd shift at nursing home. I was barely out of training when I was placed on day shift for a few weeks and let me tell you, day shift was wildly different than nights. The whole atmosphere ...
  3. My nclex story. Hope I've inspired some of you :)

Great story! Congrats to you! Oh, how I know about praying and relying on Him to get me through when at times during nursing school I wanted to change career choices because I was mentally drained. I pushed on because I knew it was my calling and pra...

So I drove about an hour and a half away today to take the NCLEX-PN and actually was allowed to go right in and take the test even though I got there 2 hours ahead of my scheduled time. It shut me out after 85q and I left feeling somewhere in between...

  11. I Am Done!

I remember coming across this site and I stayed on it that first day for hours, there was so much info to sift through. I was so excited to be starting nursing school. I will say that nothing I read prepared me for the grueling stress of it all. This...
  12. Nursing school effect on life?

I am one week away from my pinning ceremony and I will say that, yes, nursing school is nothing like you can even imagine as far as feeling like there are not enough hours in the day to do all you need to do and spend time with those closes to you. B...
  13. I Feel Done

I am feeling the same way and I am almost done with my program. The clinical instructors all seem to have that certain "quality" . I try to ignore them but sometimes you can't and sometimes you have to grit your teeth and smile when all you want to d...

This is what I know I'm going to need very soon! I finish my program in December and I am already studying some for the nclex. I am going to print this post and keep it in my purse. Very helpful and uplifting...:)

This has just started happening to me. Every time I get into studying, I just all of a sudden get this overwhelming urge to fall asleep. I was beginning to think something was wrong with me until I read your post. So now I get up from where I am stud...
