    I commend you for going to college, I know it is hard with children. If you really want to be a nurse, go for it. There are so many options. You could even be a school nurse, which would combine all of your options. Good luck in whatever you do.

    At the hospital I work for, we clear pumps at shift change and when we put in a new syringe. Also, when when clear the pump it must be witnessed by two nurses. It is followed by all the nurses.
  10. HEPARIN BOLUS

    As above, I, too, always give my bolus IVP, but I have seen a nurse give the bolus SQ. I didn't get around to ask why SQ!
