  1. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

They automatically award it. I was shocked because I thought the $7000 was a one time thing, but it turns out it's every semester! I can't say much about the program because I haven't started yet, but I was very impressed at orientation. The faculty ...
  2. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

I was already accepted and waiting to decide. I had originally planned to defer and wait to hear from UMich but I got impatient and didn't have any realistic idea about what my chances were like on the waitlist. My main issue was cost anyways...UDM's...
  3. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Thanks for the financial info. I decided to do UDM for sure. With the grants I got for my transfer GPA, I think it actually works out to be less expensive than UMich. I hope you all get good news soon!
  4. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

I wish I could get an idea...maybe I'd feel a bit better about choosing such an expensive program if the difference isn't that great!
  5. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

I think I may cut my losses and head to U of D Mercy in a few weeks. I really wanted U of M, but if I don't get in off the waitlist I'll have to wait until January to start in U of D Mercy's winter cohort. I've heard good and bad things about both pr...
  6. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

If it's helpful to anyone, I found out about my waitlist status via email. My wolverine access account actually didn't change until over 24 hours later.
  7. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

I was hoping that I might hear something about my waitlist status, as I have to put down a $500 non-refundable deposit to U of D Mercy by Thursday, but I haven't heard anything. I know that would be really soon to hear though as far as the waitlist ...
  8. Another question on the subject of vaccinations - what about medical exceptions? I am starting nursing school this fall and I have been wondering about this. I was recently ill with both a virus and a serious bacterial infection. It took me about two...
  9. U of D Mercy Second Degree Program May 2012

I don't want to give exact stats, but I had around a 3.7 for my undergrad (which was a general science/health B.S) and around a 3.5 average in the pre-reqs. The average of my science pre-reqs may have been a bit lower, around a 3.3. All of the classe...
  10. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

It just says "complete" by my supplemental app as well, so I'm guessing that doesn't change. Hope everyone gets good news soon! :)
  11. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Students that eventually got in? Any idea about when they heard? I am also interested in hearing what a typical week looks like. Thanks for coming on to share!
  12. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Yup, UDM will allow you to push back your admission one time. I seriously considered starting in May, because I feel that the chances of getting accepted off the wait list are likely pretty low. But now, with all of these program changes, I'm not so ...
  13. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

I've decided to defer my start at U of D Mercy to January in case I get in off of the waitlist. Perhaps if less people applied I'll have a better chance? I hope so, this program is by far my first choice! Good luck to everyone still waiting!
  14. U of D Mercy Second Degree Program May 2012

Congratulations! I just got my acceptance email too. However, I'm thinking about deferring until January 2013 because I was waitlisted at U of M and want to see how that plays out. Either way, I can relate to the nervous and excited feeling...I spent...
  15. University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Oh, interesting...the email (did everyone get it?) made it sound like the curriculum changed to 16 months, it didn't sound like an option. I would do the additional app if it's required, but it would be nice to go right in! Fingers crossed for you!
