Congrats jeffsoro2010, what an interesting story of your journey. Best wishes in the future!
  2. NCLEX-RN "If I can do it so can you''

Congrats!! And 75 q's that awesome! All the best....!!
  3. CIWA and COWS Scale?

I agree with Tom7044. The RN must assess the objective data not just the subjective data. Yesterday, I had a pt say to me "I was gonna ask for my PRN suboxone but that motrin you gave me really helped!" In that case, the motrin was given because the ...
  4. Moving out in 6 months, should I accept a job?

    Go to the interview!
  5. Violated NCLEX rules

This is just something that is bugging me but how did you make a phone call? Don't they lock all your stuff up in a locker (maybe that's just my state)? Writing a letter is a good idea, along with a letter from your client. I would hope they wouldn't...
  6. ma2cna = a well rounded nurse?

Here's the deal. Will having MA/CNA experience make you a more well rounded nurse? Maybe, maybe not. In nursing school you'll meet people with no previous patient care experience and also people with 20 years of patient care. Nursing though, is more...
  7. RN going back to work as an LVN

Listen, this is all wrong. She'll get you a NICU job?!!?!?! GIMME A BREAK. Why would she do that? So, you'll work with her for a year, under a false license for less pay and then she'll hook you up with a different job? Makes no sense. Unless you ca...
  8. should i reschedule my exam

How are your practice test scores? I felt like putting mine off not because of my scores but because of the anxiety. If its related to not feeling good about the material, then reschedule. If you feel like its your nerves and just because you miss a ...
  9. Failed NCLEX PN Twice

I didn't personally use it, but I heard the LaCharity book on priority (and delegation) is highly recommended for students. That may help you in figuring out what answer is a bit better than the other answer. I always hate choosing between two answer...
  10. Involuntary Psych Ward Commitment

Tyvin is correct. Psych records are extremely confidential. Certain measures make it very tough to access records. As a nurse you can't even look up your own records let alone your kids, like with medical records, unless you get access. Rest assured...
  11. How would I address a firing?

I agree, it seems like an overreaction to fire you for that. Sorry to hear about it. :-(
  12. should I go to an interview

Yeah go. My first interview was a disaster (sorry, hope that doesn't make you nervous) but my next few were way better because of that experience. I don't get too anxious about stuff like interviews but the first one made me realize I can't just bree...
  13. How would I address a firing?

Wait, I'm confused. Why did the CNA put 92%? If they saw 78 and she put 92, and the only number you knew atm was 92, how are you in trouble?
  14. Not hired...because of post intervie thank you note..yes, really

Holy crap! Lol! I find it really strange he denied knowing you. Did he get fired from that place? I'm guessing he left that place of work off his resume and maybe is trying to cover for it? He was probably like "She's crazy I don't know her. I have ...
  15. Will the stress of nursing be too much for me?

Does your local psych facility have milieu therapy? They are usually psych majors and work on inpatient floors promoting a safe, positive environment. If you think nursing is too stressful, that is one option that is still psych based.
