hello I started my nursing "career" in 2012 in the PACU capacity in Houston. However, I left nursing in 2015 to pursue another career interest. Thus I have not practiced nursing in over a year, and I would like to return to nursing. I'm having a h...
is it common for RNs who begin working in dialysis to resign from their positions? I know a fellow RN who started working with Fresenius at the same time that I did ( about 4 months ago). She has made the decision to resign, because she said it is ...
hello im new to dialysis and have a question about uf profiling. sometimes the doc makes her rounds and she sometimes requests that pts be put on uf profiling, and she almost always requests profile 4. I work for Fresenius. what exactly does uf pro...
Guttercat: yes, I'm relatively new to nursing, not a new grad though. I've only been a RN for 1.5 yrs. I had been working at surgery centers, as pre op n PACU RN.
I have been offered a job at Fresenius as RN with NO dialysis exp. I was offered $27.50 / hr. I live in TX (Hou). I was wondering if this is a reasonable rate to accept considering that I don't have dial exp and for this region of the country. Can...
hi schnookimz, yes I got the job, but not in Acutes...Long story short, when I got to the 3rd interview for acutes, the FA said she had some qualms about me being in acutes because I didn't have ICU experience. But she did say she saw potential in m...
I'm new to dialysis. I hear that pt coding is a sure thing to happen in dialysis. If a pt codes and God forbid, pt dies, could the pts family sue the company and/or you for their loved one's death? that's one of the things that I'm really concerne...
thanks for that feedback. One more question. I hear that pt coding is a sure thing to happen. If a pt codes and God forbid, pt dies, could the pts family sue the company and/or you personally for their loved one's death? that's one of the things ...
I am about to be hired by Davita for a chronic dialysis RN position. However, I got an email about an Open House for Fresenius for all types of positions. This has piqued my curiosity. Even though I am about to receive a job offer at Davita, I am ver...
Has anyone of you dealt with recruiters? I have been in the interviewing process for a position at Davita. I have had 2 interviews, and I was told at this interview that they want me to have a 3rd final interview. This was about 3 - 4 weeks ago. ...
So, as Coleebee mentioned, the acute setting is fast paced. So is the chronic setting "not fast paced"? I would think that chronics is even faster paced, since you might be taking care of up to 10 - 12 patients. I'm somewhat confused.
how is the training for acute different from the training for chronics? Both types of patients are on dialysis. Im just trying to understand why a RN who's been trained in acutes would not be able to do the job of the chronics RN and vice versa
I just had my 2nd interview with Davita last week. I think it would be VERY helpful to know the 7 core values ( they are on the davita site) and its mission statement. I mentioned these to them during my first interview and the fact that I knew the...
