  1. Getting into Georgetown CNM/WHNP Program without experience

Congratulations TarheelGirl! I was also accepted to the Online WHNP program at Georgetown. I'll be starting this January. I have not connected with any other students. Have you? I'm excited to start!
  2. What's the weirdest baby name?

My grandma used to do the census when it was door to door. She told me about a lady who named her daughter Female. Pronounced "Phimalay." When asked where she got that name she replied, "The doctor gave it to her when she was born."
  3. New Grad LDRP - pocket guides & advice?

Congrats on your new position! I started in L&D about a year ago straight out of school. I also had no experience and was so sacred. I read my books from school, researched online, and even posted on this site asking for advise, but really the ...
  4. The "Q" Word and Other Mysteries

Thanks for the advice! I'm living in northern Maine right now but I'm moving back to my home town of Juneau, Alaska. I'm not sure what educational opportunities I'll have but I'll definitely ask around when I get there. I was told that I will be tr...
  8. New Grad in the OB

Yeah 400/year. I'm moving from a town of 7,000 to a town of 30,000. Small populations but still a big difference.
  9. New Grad in the OB

Hello! I recently graduated and landed my dream job in the OB. I'm starting in a few weeks and I'm incredibly nervous. I did an academic presceptorship at a very small hospital that only had around 150 births a year. The hospital where I've been ...
