    @dooodaadew,
The people that applied to both programs and were accepted into both programs will have to decide which program they want to attend. Since the ABSN and FNP program are seperate, they do not see each other's applicants so it's not like the ABSN applicants got "transferred" into the FNP program. If that makes any sense . Did that come close to answering your question?

I called the Sacramento campus yesterday regarding something different and while I was on the phone, I thought "This is a perfect opportunity to see if she has any information about the acceptance status for the FNP program."

Well, she said they will have their decisions made this week, but does not know the exact day. She did not specify if the acceptance emails/calls/letters will be going out this week. She did mention that people that were accepted into the ABSN program were also accepted into the FNP program, so some decisions have been made.

Not too much help, but hopefully we will start hearing at the end of the week. Cause I don't know how much more I can take before going totally bonkers.

Patience is not my strongest attribute. It has been two days since my interview, and longer for most of you, why have they not accepted all of us?

Happy to hear that the interviews went well!! Now its the waiting game, but it's nice to know we all made it to this point which is an accomplishment in itself! I was wondering, if you don't mind me asking how many people were in your group? Hope everyone is relaxing after their interviews! Good news is that they have a deep waiting list too! Anyways hope everyone is having a nice weekend )
There were 9 people in the re-applicant group. It is a huge accomplishment for all those who interviewed. Too bad there are not more spots available.

    Hi everyone,
So I finished my interview (hey re-apps) and feel it went very well. They said there was approximately 80 people they interviewed for 24 spots. Today is the last round of interviews and they hope to send out acceptance calls/emails/letters (they are not sure how they are going to notify yet) by the end of September/beginning of October. Till then...we wait.

Do you guys think they will give out calls after the interviews this saturday? Curious
That would be awesome but I doubt it. Probably this coming week. My hope is they ask me on the spot...at least that is how is happens in my dreams.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement! Everyone is so friendly here! On the website's TEAS FAQ, it mentions that they look at the reading and math sub scores and the composite score. I'm so nervous because my gpa is not my greatest so I'm trying to make up for it with my TEAS. Thanks again everyone!
I would also suggest, if you are not already doing so, volunteer or get health care experience. You can look at the application and start working on your essay. It is never to early to start since you will have a lot of revisions.

Thanks for the quick reply ALXiong!

It is just a very anxiety provoking process. I just want to know where my TEAS score stand because I have no idea what to thinking about it. Any suggestions will help! Thanks!
    Hi yay123,
I agree with the other replies, TEAS score is only one component of their assessment. My TEAS score was not that great (~78.4 overall - dang that science section). I have not been accepted, but my scores got me far enough to get an interview for the ELMSN - FNP and waitlisted (#9) for the ABSN. So, my suggestion is to study hard and do the best you can. Worse case scenerio is you retake the test (SMU takes the highest score).

Make sure you focus on all areas because not only one section is looked at. Good luck to you.

Thanks! I wasn't sure at first what I wanted to do because one year is very tempting (especially when you've got a young child!) but it will be nice to have my MSN done relatively soon. Good luck with the program! I am sure you'll get in.
Edit- I thought I recognized your name from the FNP board- good luck with that one as well and your interview!
    Thank you, Dracaena!

JeninCA- #9 is a really good spot! They go through a lot of the waitlist people every year. I just got an email saying I am #5 but I have decided to go with the ELMSN-CM program so I will be sending ---- an email now letting her know. So you're #8 already :-)
Yay moving on up. Congrats on getting into the CM program!

I got an email and I am #9 on the waitlist. So, probably not this year but you never know.

Thanks for your input, ALXiong. I was looking back at last year's forum and they did start accepting people earlier. However, you may be right that since they are going through accreditation right now the schedule is probably going to be different.

Either way, it is getting close to the end. I have my re-app interview this weekend, so I will post any updates they provide.

Again, good luck to everyone. I know we are all "competing" for one of those valuable spots, but I really do wish everyone the best of luck in pursing their dream.
