  1. New Grad moving to East TN....completely LOST!

There are lots of opportunities in Morristown, about 35-40 minutes away. Greeneville is about 45 minutes away as well. Plus there are lots of smaller towns nearby. Kingsport will be your largest city just as the previous poster said. Good luck!
  2. Thinking of going back to school

Well, it's actually the same price for me to do this when compared to the fast track option at ETSU (an accelerated program for people who already have a Bachelors). The best thing is that I don't have to drive out of town for school! My pre-reqs wil...
  3. Thinking of going back to school

Hi! I'm going to be applying to WSCC for next fall. I'm taking my pre-reqs now and, while I already have a BS in Psych, I'm going to apply for the dual degree program they have with ETSU. It gives you both an AAS/RN from WS and BSN from ETSU. It'll t...
  4. AAS RN to BSN or Accelerated BSN?

I am applying to a dual program between Walters State Community College and ETSU in TN. My 3rd year includes all online classes, too, so I can work as an RN if I want to while still continuing my studies to obtain my BSN.

  7. Your PM made total sense. Basically, when comparing the AAS/BN and Accel. RN/BSN programs FOR ME, it comes down to how fast I want to attain my degree. If I prefer less travel but a LONGER time in school, I'd go with your option. If I'm willing to su...
  8. I did go over and look at the program. I may be able to get out of most or all of my Gen Ed based on my previous degree. It is TOTALLY different than the Accel 2nd degree as the Accel program has practicums, which I assume are "hands on" learning ses...
  9. So your option is a 3 year program total? I will have to consider it. How do you get your clinicals done? Thanks for the info!
  10. I am 42 and hoping to go back to school in a year or so if accepted into a program. I am taking my pre-reqs during that waiting period. I already have a BS in Psych so can apply to most 2nd degree programs. Here is my dilemma: The accelerated program...
