   Okay good, i'm still a new nurse, and despite what i've learned, i have found myself counseling my pt's while sitting on the side of their bed. I just wondered if this was common practice. :)

    I poked myself with a sterile insulin syringe right before drawing up the insulin. Thank god it was a sterile needle with nothing in it- this was when i was a student. so i will never make that mistake again !!
