  12. PORT A CATH ISSUE!!

I would not try to reaccess it without changing out the huber needle. It could have gotten moved/shifted since she was in the ER. You did good to start a peripheral line to give the patient their medication. I agree, let someone more experienced deal...
  13. License Issue

If a nurse lives close to a state border and lives in one state but works in the other don't they have to have a current state license in the state in which they are working? We recently lost one of HH nurses because did not have a license in our sta...
  14. Could Inserting a Suppository Do This?

At age 87 "anything" could have been the cause of his death. Besides his age he was a hospice patient which indicates he had a terminal diagnosis. You would have had to be routing around in there to cause a vagal response that would cause a signific...
  15. RN to BSN to MSN Chamberlin

I agree. I attended Chamberlain for my RN-BSN and loved it. My degree is solid. I could go to any graduate school that I wanted to , if I wanted to, but I don't.
