I emailed Jacquelyn Thompson because Susan Ricci told me that she was in charge of the SSC orientation and Jacquelyn's response was:
"You will be responsible for the information given at the June 16th orientation. We have a small group of students that will be out of town for the orientation and I will be sending you additional information for another time for you to meet after June 16th."
So that's all that I know as of now. Hope that helps.
I will be there with you at the one on one orientation at 10am because I'm going to be out of the country as well. So maybe that's why we didn't get it??? Not too sure though.
I keep reading my email over and over and no where does it say anything about the Keirsey test. Please help!
FYI...one of our kind and caring members (not me) on our forum created a Facebook Group for our class. It is titled "UCF Concurrent/Seminole State Nursing program Fall 2013"....
Lol! Time to stock up on microwave dinners, ramen, mac and cheese, chef boyardee...
hey wannabnurse thanks for this website
I'm not planning on working at all not after that email anyway
Is anyone besides me getting fingerprinting done on Tuesday the 24th at 9:30???
That email was crazy...I thought it was a little mean honestly. YES, we all know it's going to be hard. But don't try to scare us out of doing a limited access program when there is a nursing shortage to begin with.
As for the forms...we turn all those into the school in person, right? We just have to email her those 4 letters from the Keirsey test? Also, for the loan agreement, she said for the "projected term of completion", to put fall 2012, but isn't it fall 2013?
Also...I just got an email from UCF saying it's not too late to register for fall and to register now to avoid a $100 fee. Are we supposed to sign up for our nursing classes there now? Or do we wait till they tell us to?
Welcome SydneyRae! Congrats on your acceptance!
I read it to my 14 year old son and he was like "Wow they really said that in the email?" I was like yep, so you guys better be just as ready as me...lol
Just curious....did anyone else get their email from D.D @ UCF with all the forms attached? Wow! Needless to say, I was like oh my word...they mean business. I'm kinda scared of the program now! I will work very hard and just give it my all and hope for the best. That's all we can do.
Jacksonleo I know you have already given us some advice, but I'm sure you know the email that I speak of..is it really as bad as they make it seem???? Don't get me wrong, I'm not nieve enough to think it will be a piece of cake, but are they just putting fear in us to make us come in dedicated and motivated from day 1 or is it really as difficult as they make it sound?
Thanks, that does help...I've also heard the clinical top runs big? I'm really skinny and usually wear an XS, but they have an XXS available as well...which size would be better? Also, there's other supplies listed on the Meridy's website besides the uniforms, like scissors and goggles and stuff, do we have to get those too?
The fit testing is done through the school. No need to go on Thursday .
