  1. FNPs in south Jersey

I am an FNP. I was job hunting during the winter but it wasn't too bad. A decent amount of doctors were willing to take a new grad. My problem was finding a decent paying job that didn't want me to sign a year contract. I didn't want to be stuck at a...

  3. R.N first or straight to N.P?

I had a degree in bio first. I did an accelerated BSN program in 12 months then went directly onto the MSN portion. I worked as an RN for over a year while doing the NP program. I am now working as an NP and I wouldn't change a thing. I knew I didn't...

  5. Am I too young to get my Masters?

Go for it! I was in the same position and got done with my masters at 24. I'm so glad I went straight on and did not stop.
  6. UMDNJ vs. Thomas Jefferson University

Yeah I am taking online courses as well, most of the classes are only online which is nice because you can pretty much set your own schedule and do the work when you have time. There are only the 3 clinical courses and assessment class that even have...

Im actually in the TJU FNP program now and it isn't all online (unless you live over 90 miles away). For the assessment class and the clinical class you have to be on campus once a week but it isn't bad. I really like TJU and I have no regrets about ...
  8. Will I get accepted to Jefferson's FACT program?

Im in the program now and many of my classmates didnt have enough prereqs completed when they applied so they put them on a waiting list. Odds are they wont officially accept you until they get more of the grades in.
  9. Prospective Drexel ACE Nursing Program Student

Look into Thomas Jefferson FACT program. I am currently in it and I LOVE it. The professors and faculty are great and really go out of there way to help. Plus it is only 12 months.
  10. Jefferson FACT 2012

I also live by myself. I had also saved alot from working and my parents (and other relatives) are helping me out with some of the other bills/expenses.
  11. Jefferson FACT 2012

They ease you into the classes so you wont have all of them on day one. This is the first week we will have all the classes. Its difficult to keep up with the readings but its not impossible. Im not sure if I'm going into the masters program right aw...
  12. Jefferson FACT 2012

I am a current student of the FACT program and I absolutely LOVE it. The faculty is so nice and very helpful. My only advice for the application process is to apply early (1st round) and have most (if not all) of your pre-reqs done.

  14. Did you get the information about taking a CPR class in the mail? If yes, was there any other important info in the letter? I didn't get anything yet.
  15. Are a majority of the clinicals in Philly or do they send you all over the tri state area? Im trying to decide if I want to commute (about an hour on a good day) or if I want to live on campus.
