I have been a RN since 2004. Worked Med/Surg for 2 year then ICU and critical care for 6 years. I have also done Hospice for a year and home care for one year PRN. I love nursing. I am currently working as a FNP in a family practice office and I round on pts in the hospital as well :).

    I really do enjoy being a NP but some of the restrictions in my state ( MI) make it really hard to practice the way my pts need me too. I would look at the states rules before becoming a NP. There are a lot of things to consider.
