   For my regulars who are difficult to discharge, I make them feel very comfortable. Warm blankets, quiet tranquil environment, dim the lights. Basically roll out the red carpet. When it's time for discharge, reverse everything in about 2.5 seconds....

   Sometimes people are not sick enough to warrant going to the doctor's office, but work requires that they have a doctor's note if they miss work. Some schools are now requiring a doctor's note for missing school. Seems ridiculous to me.

   One time I was home stripping my scrubs off and I found several unlabeled blood vials with blood in them. Good thing they didn't make it to the laundry :-P

    Ask your pharmacy for smaller vials. That would be a huge waste of time trying to find a witness for 80-90% of my morphine pulls.

    Now I'm 6 months into my ER RN job and I still really want to get into a cath lab. I plan on staying here for atleast a year. What should I do next? Do I need to work in an ICU before transitioning to the Cath lab?
