Thanks! I just got the news, I PASSED! I'm an RN! Yaaaaayyyyy!!! I did the PVT yesterday and it worked, got the official results this morning! I'm so happy! :redbeathe:nurse:
  3. NCLEX RN tomorrow!

I have got to pass since I've already been accepted into a critical care grad nurse program! The anxiety is getting to me so I think I'm going to stop studying for the night and just pray!
  4. Valencia Community College Nursing Waiting List

What I did was finished up my A.A. (in Psych) while waiting that way, once I finish the program this summer I can transfer directly to UCF to begin my BSN without having to go back to take any basic classes. The program is amazing because of all the...
  5. Valencia CC Spring of 2011

I will tell you right now, if you wanna save a little don't bother getting the Taber's dictionary, the diagnostic test and labs, or the Kee pharm study guide. I haven't used any of them and I'm starting Nur 4. I would recommend, however, getting t...
  6. what was your hardest semester?

This sounds exactly like my nursing program! Lol :) I just started my 4th.
  7. What's your favorite lip product for work?

I am addicted to Bath and Body Works Mentha Lip Tint. It's a gloss that's slightly tinted (Magenta Mint and Rose Shimmer are my fave's), but the best part is the yummy peppermint! It helps so much block out the smells of the hospital environment an...
  8. 0.45% NS is Hypernatremia?

    F & E hurts my brain. :) Lol
  9. from RN to Pharmacy tech

That's funny... I was a pharmacy tech, but am now in nursing school. I did like it, and I was good at it, but it was definitely NOT stress free. You really wouldn't use your RN experience or knowledge since you're not administering meds, so you don...
  10. Has anyone heard of this?

No way. Definitely get that straightened out.
  11. Summer before Nursing School

RELAX while you still can! :) I know, easier said than done, but you have to just trust us on this one. There is really no way to prepare for NS, other than to come with a relaxed, clear mind, ready to work. I think the fact that you got your CNA ...
  12. Med Sheets Help!!

Yes, I agree... I use Davis's Drug Guide since it was a required text. I use the CD, copy and paste, then re-use the same med sheets since a lot of our patients are on the same meds.
  13. Should I take chemistry?

Hi, I'm in my med-surg rotation in nursing school. I took chemistry only because I initially applied to a BSN program that required it, but I don't feel as though it applied or gave me an understanding in my other classes. Definitely good to get it...
  14. UCF Nursing or VCC nursing?

I'm a student at VCC and it took me 2 semesters to get in. Applied in Summer of 09 and got in Spring '10. It's a great program so far... just a lot of work! Like all nursing programs.
  15. Dosage calculations

Well, for some reason it's not lining up, but if you write it out hopefully it will make sense. :)
