  1. Finally decided to quit nursing

Thanks for your post. I too have been struggling with this. Nursing has change in many ways, many that make me shake my head in disbelief. Manager's no longer have a connection to the floor nurses because of their own positions & responsibiliti...

I'm happy for you. Best of luck!
  3. Davita

Not a bad company....It's the poor FAs that give some clinics a bad rep. Good luck.

  5. ANY Case Managers at United Health?

United Healthcare is awful! You can wait on the phone for an hour, and then get put on hold again. Then they give you an auth. number, only to get a tongue lashing when you call back with clinical reviews. Maybe Independent Health or Univera could g...
  6. I cried during my interview

I've done the same! The interviewers asked me to name someone I admired most. I quickly stated that it was my father, whom just passed, and started to tear up. I told them why & quickly regained my composure, but I did not get the job. I got a b...
  7. GOOD LUCK! Just remember how you feel right now and try to hold on to that. I worked in OP clinic one day too long, but don't want to 'bring your high down'. I've gone back to hospital after three years and now I appreciated it soooo much more.

  10. ICU to Dialysis advice please

I loved ICU! I was in the float pool for about eight years and thought that I would slow things down alittle. Went to dialysis and hated it from the third day. I used the same skills, gave the same meds, saw the same patients, and worked with the ...
  11. Dialysis Staffing

redsox07....I just left a facility like that! All I could think of everytime I went to work is...."Why am I putting my nursing license on the line like this?". Once I answered the question for myself, I gave a months notice. Are you or have you e...
  12. Anyone working or have worked for Davita

No mandation of overtime. As a matter of fact, our FA would "mention" every minute of overtime you had. If you are the only RN in the building.....then guess what? Because you don't want to loose your license, you stay. Sometimes you stay with jus...
  13. Anyone working or have worked for Davita

Maybe that's why the one's that stay, burn out.
  14. Anyone working or have worked for Davita

That's the most true thing I've ever heard about dialysis nursing.
  15. Anyone working or have worked for Davita

Nurset2007....can't stress enough to do your research. Read the comments on here and elsewhere. Also keep in mind that not all you here is true, but the comments here are resounding. I would have never excepted the job if I read the comments here ...
