1. Nurse to Patient Ratio in North Carolina

   It depends on the unit you are working in as far as patient ratios are concerned (for Cape Fear Valley). On the general med-surg floors I have heard on nights the ratio is as high as 7:1, the ICU's 2-3:1, Peds 5:1. Hope this helps.

   Cape Fear is offering a sign-on bonus for the ED. As far as the other units, when I was hired a couple of years ago I was told it was up to the unit manager to determine if their unit had the funds available for a sign-on bonus/relocation assistance...
