   I took AANP on the 19th and my cert number was on the website the next day. My packet I received in the mail with my letter and certificate was post-dated the 21st. Maybe I just got lucky?

   I took the AANP because I heard it was more clinical based and less theory. I don't know if this is really true, but that, along with the lower cost made my decision for me. Like many have said, Fitzgerald review is the way to go, in my opinion. ...

    NY lady, Thanks for sharing that info. I didn't realize that union hospitals still did pension plans. Is that for all new hire nurses too? Do NPs get represented by the unions? Do the unions represent other staff (ie rad techs, pharmacists, etc)?...

    I've seen a couple of job postings that say "ANCC preferred". I was leaning towards AANP, but now I'm reconsidering. Will be interested in seeing what others have to say about this.
