   I have had lots of people ask me if I am going to be a 'male nurse' - I alway tell them I tried to be a female nurse but flunked the physical. I start in 8 weeks.

   ADN programs aren't any easier to get into. We had over 900 apply for 120 openings to the CC I applied to. A 3.5 probably would not have made it. Apply to both and take the one you get. It's getting tougher to get accepted these days. I too was...

   I am in IT also and after 20 years tired of the insecurity and outsourceing. I start nursing school this October and am really looking forward to it. Take all the pre reqs and go for it.

    Yep, I agree with you. I have lost my love of IT mainly because of the way we are currently being treated. Longer hours - no respect. I start nursing school in October. I too am looking forward to it.

    I envoy you young guys. I made the decision to go into nursing at 49 and just got accepted into an ADN program at Macomb. Yes, they are tough to get into. Youth is wasted on the young. Samuel Clemens

    I am in A&P right now and enjoy the class. I will be starting nursing classes in the fall but I am not sure of my exact start date yet.

    The text book is around 100-115 and the lab book another 80 or so.
