  1. There seems to be no jobs for a new graduate nurse

I'm not sure..I know I haven't found one yet. I had to take a job as an LPN because I can't find any RN jobs. I already have my RN license but still have to work and only be paid as an LPN...it's depressing.
  2. Any SLU graduate school students out there?

Hi, I am applying to the SLU Master's in Nursing program for the Spring semester. For those of you who are already in the program, can you speak to how strict they are on the 3 year work experience requirement? I easily meet all the other criteria bu...
  3. SLU Accelerated MSN Program

Yes, they do have one. I might have worded it wrong..it's an RN to MSN program (they have a BSN to MSN program if your degree is in nursing) but if you have a degree in another field you can go directly into the RN to MSN. I meet all the selection cr...
  4. There seems to be no jobs for a new graduate nurse

I was not aware of this, I just moved to MO 3 months ago. Thanks for the information, I'll take a look at it.
  5. There seems to be no jobs for a new graduate nurse

Sorry to hear of your problems Joseph, I still haven't been able to find anything either. It's becoming a serious issue. I just can't understand this..I see so many job postings. I guess they either aren't really hiring all those positions are they a...
  6. SLU Accelerated MSN Program

Hi, I'm looking for some feedback/information from anyone who is attending or has attended the SLU MSN program (specifically the accelerated program for someone who has a BS in another area). I have a BS in sociology, an ADN and have a couple years e...
  7. There seems to be no jobs for a new graduate nurse

I just moved to STL 2 months ago so there's no way I'm moving again! I'm just going to keep pounding the pavement and hope the right opportunity comes my way. If not, I guess I'll be the most educated grocery sacker in the area :)
  8. Nursing Reality shock?

It's Me, thanks for your encouragement. And, yes, I have been in practice as an LPN for the last 2 years and just got my RN this December (I don't have a BSN, my bachelors is in Sociology). I had a great experience at my job as an LPN and really enjo...
  9. New grad looking for work

I will second the notion that it's really hard to find a job right now. I am a recent GN and have been looking for 3 months in St. Louis but gotten absolutely nothing. I even have almost 2 years experience as an LPN where I basically did an RN's job....
  10. Nursing Reality shock?

I too worked very hard to get my RN and am now frustrated because I can't even get a job. I have a bachelor's, associates, PCT, LPN, and RN license and yet I get no response to any jobs. And I recently moved to St. Louis no less, where there are tons...
  11. There seems to be no jobs for a new graduate nurse

I am in a similar situation, I am a male nurse who just graduated and I have found it impossible to find a job in St. Louis. I even have experience as an LPN but that has not seemed to help me. I see so many job postings for RN's yet I get no respons...
