   I could only speak from my experience. I came from the Philippines and had to purchase a return flight as well to ensure no hassles from the immigration counter at the international departure.

    I have heard from a friend that her friend was denied of a tourist visa and because of that her bridging programme would be delayed. Perhaps it is safer to apply for a short stay business class or a student visa.
