   :) our hospital is a level one trauma center .... I think you will be fine. My guess is that there will be a lot of guidance for you. The training in our hospital for a trauma nurse is 6 months before being left alone.

   I work in the cardiac cath lab ... for sedation we use versed along with fentanyl ... the combination of these meds works well for comfort and sedation... lidocaine is used for numbing the area... patients usually feel a pinch and that is it !

   Our hospital uses this for nurses entering critical care areas ... it is a good review, but personally I prefer a lecture style of teaching.
