   I was 3 months pregnant when I started my first semester in the nursing program, passed, got my licence & work in a hospital. It will be tough but if you want to do it you can. Best of luck in your choice.

   I graduated from CSN this past May. took the NCLEX-RN in July, and got a job in June. The hospitals seem to like CSN grads better than other schools. Thats just my experience.

   Hello, I need some help with my IV calculation practice test. I get how to do the calculations but this question is messing me up: Levaquin 250 mg IV in 50cc D5W is to be infused over 1 hour. What is the drip rate? Do I add 250 and 50 some how?

    I was just talking about new hire nurses, not new RNs just out of school sorry. Each unit is allowed to hire only so many new grad nurses a year, from what I understand anyway. From what I hear some hospitals will not hire new grads now to save money...

    I work there and they layed off about 158 people, 50 or so were nurses. There are positions open, but they can pay a new hire less than a RN who has bben there 10 years (all about the money). They reevaluate about every 3 months.
