I tested and passed in Utica in 2012 and the CE told me that a group of them rotate sites in NY so I would think any site in NY would be good. Good Luck!!

The cheapest flight was southwest and they only flew to Albany. I took it at Utica because I had heard so many good things about Utica at the time, plus didn't want any peds patients if I could avoid it and didn't get one either so guess it worked!! I found out from one of the CE's that weekend that they rotate around the NY sites so I guess it didn't really matter.

Everybody learns in their own way-do what works for you! I used the study guides for some classes but just not enough for others - at least for me. I bought all the books an edition or 2 older than suggested, never paid more than $10 for any book-Amazon is great. Grasp it all much better with the books than the study guides for me, but like I said do what works for you!! Good Luck!

You will need A&P with lab and Micro with lab plus Statistics. I had the A&P and the Micro with labs already but am doing my Stats right now and soooooo wish i would have done it before I started WGU. You could do the statistics would be a great help to you to have it out of the way. Good Luck!!

The wound station at Utica was on a 6 foot table and I was allowed to move it around so I had it set up just like at my home. I ask and they said sure move around whatever you want. Good Luck!!

I chose a date 4 months out and when I got that day it really pushed me to practice, practice, practice. I worked at it but until the date was set in stone I didn't really push myself. Guess I needed that motivation, after I got my date I practices hours and hours every single day. I passed CPNE one year ago today - a fantastic Mother's Day gift to me!!

I was like Lunah by the time it came around I could recite my mnemonics in my sleep and do those labs with my eyes shut, plus I could write a careplan without the Mosby's book but you can bet I sure used it during CPNE!! And still when my CPNE weekend rolled around I thought why didn't I take a few more months - Good Luck!!!!

Graduated for Excelsior last year and start April 1st RN-BSN. Yes Micro and A&P both have to have lab-mine did and both transferred, the only thing I need is Biochem, Statistics and US History(strange) and their Nursing Courses. Start in a few weeks-ready to get going and get done!!

I failed 2 of the test also when using just SG101 notes and the practice exams. Downloaded the study guides and bought the recommended books from Amazon-usually a edition or two older to save money. Passed them all and went on to pass CPNE and NCLEX now an RN!! Don't give up, take a different approach and you will be an RN before you know it-Good Luck!!
