OK, after 2 months (and almost to give up), I was pleasantly surprised and was called to interview at the Air Force Base Clinic/Hospital here. What should I study to prepare me for the interview? Any medical questions or more questions on how I would react to certain situations? Thanks for the help!

Thank you Rae, I appreciate the info. Do you like working for them, and have you worked with them for awhile?

Does anyone know what the pay is with Maxim home health
in Pensacola? (I heard a quote of $16-$17 an hour and that seems a bit low to me.) Thanks!

I have been working P/T with PSA for a year now and I like the agency, but they don't seem to have much work here, so I am afraid to quit my other job with benefits of insurance, PTO, etc. to go F/T with them. That seems to be the downside of H/H nursing, but it is still a great field to work in.

I hear ya. Maxim does have their ads everywhere. I know of 2 people that have worked with them, and one comment was positive and one negative. I know they don't seem to pay anymore than anyone else also. That may be a good idea to go with a local agency.

I am a LPN and really like HH nursing a lot. I work with peds pts and it's very low stress nursing and the pay is good. It is also nice to be able to give great care to my patients. I even got my sister to do HH and she also likes it a lot, and we split the bonus I received for referring her to the agency I work for.

Home Health pays well and hires LPNs. Try Maxim, PSA, Interim, for starters...

Thanks so much for the info, Angela. I was surprised to see 2 LPN openings where I applied. I sent everything I could possibly think of in the packet to be considered for the job and really hope and pray that I will be chosen. If it's meant to be, it will happen. Once again, thank you....

Yes, I totally agree with you RNMAG, there aren't a lot of jobs here in Pensacola, that is for certain. The pay is also very low, so be prepared for that if you are planning on moving here. I'm working my way out of here. As I have a house here, it may take awhile to sell it, but I'm getting out of this place one way or another....
