    Are they already accepting trainees? But ... how can the hospital function and the applicant nurses 'train' if they do not hire staff nurses in the first place?

    Same sentiments with you Dylan21. My plan is to attend trainings/volunteers to gain confidence in performing basic skills. Afterwards, I'll try my luck applying in provincial hospitals, as it is easier to get hired as staff nurse. Good luck to us...

    Here in Philippines, 1000+ nurses have already signed a contract for employment in Alberta. I've heard that they're also hiring nurses from India. --- How are they going to squeeze in this large number of nurses?

    I think the hiring for SLMC-GC is still ongoing.. In fact the guy ahead of me yesterday was just a walk-in applicant, and he was interviewed right after he submitted his resume.. Anyway.. How true is it that their contract is for 5 years?

    aah.. :):) try to google different hospital in the places you've mentioned, and contact them.. thru email perhaps? most of the time, experiences are required by the agencies here in the philippines, but not by employers abroad .. its for the reason ...
