I totally understand how you are feeling. I am not very good at selling myself to prospective employers. I have a hard time seeing what I have to offer. Many of my classmates have worked in the hospital prior to nursing school and they all have jobs already. I wish you much luck and let me know if you find any answers.
Yes, I am from Northern California! I need some motivation. I think that after failing the NCLEX twice, I lost confidence in myself. I hope that your preparation is going well.
Yes I am from Northern California! I really need some motivation. I think after failing the NCLEX twice I lost confidence in myself. I hope the preparation is going well for you.
I also need a study Buddy. I have taken the NCLEX twice and failed.
You will pass this exam. Take a break and rejuvenate yourself before you jump back into NCLEX preparation.
I have failed the NCLEX as well. I too used Kaplan to prepare myself. I am going to put Kaplan on the shelf this time. I needed to evaluate my study technique and I am not sure Kaplan was the best choice for me. I felt the need to try something different and so I am giving Suzanne's Plan all my attention for my third go around.
Congratulations and best of luck in your career!!!
I have a question in regards to the 50% correct and 50% incorrect. I am confused by what that means.
I have taken the NCLEX twice and I fear those SATA questions. Some of them I feel comfortable with but my gut just gets twisted into knots when I see them on the screen.
I used Kaplan twice. I have taken the NCLEX and failed the exam twice. The course might help with strategies??? It does work well for some. I guess we all need to assess what kind of learning style fits our own unique individualized style. The Kaplan course lacks in regards to a real content review. I do not really care for the course book. I have started to study for round three of my goal to pass the NCLEX and this time I am going to use the Saunders book and Suzanne's Plan. I have looked through the Saunders book and I really like it for a content based review. I have to try a new path since Kaplan did not work for me and I can not afford another $499.00. So I feel like it was a waste of $1000.00 for me! The Kaplan course is very expensive. The books are not really a great review book in my opinion. The on-line test/quiz are good but I am not sure that I was really learning anything from them except for maybe becoming more comfortable taking tests on the computer. Hope this helps at least a little.
Good luck and Happy studying :wink2:
I have taken the NCLEX twice previously and I am now preparing to take the exam for my third time I have used Kaplan in the past. I now have decided that I need a new approach so I am going to use the Saunders Comprehension and Review book along with Suzanne's Plan! I really like the way the book is put together. The content looks like what is needed to pass the NCLEX.
Good luck and Happy Studying
Congratulations! I am new to allnurses.com. I have read many of your responses and posts. You have been so encouraging too this forum. You have such a big :heartbeat. Good luck on all your future endeavors. You will undoubtedly make an amazing RN!!!
I took the full course with Kaplan the first time. The second time around I just purchased the complete on-line course. This time I am going to try Suzanne's Plan. I have to try a new approach. Anyone have suggestions?
I have failed the NCLEX exam twice myself as well. I am just now getting back into the groove of things after a little mental break. I have ordered the book that Suzanne suggests and I am going to give her plan a try. We will pass this time :icon_hug:
