  1. How much from nursing school do you retain??

Not much. I had a rude awakening when I actually started practicing. Just don't ever hesitate to ask questions and do the five rights everytime you give a med, those are the best lessons I learned in school.
  2. KAPLAN QTrainer scores is killing me!!!

My friends and I had the same experience, isn't it frustrating? We could never get over 70% in the whole time we studied for our boards. However, each one of us got our licenses on the first try. Go figure!
  3. Things you would LOVE to say to your nursing instructors...

Does your course syllabus really have to be 200 pages long?

  8. Hesi Rn Exit Exam

I had to take the HESI exit exam at my school and it was one of the hardest tests I have ever taken! Thankfully, I passed but loads of my class didn't and had to take it three to four times. My head hurts just thinking about it. You are not alone in ...
  9. Soooooo..... I made my first med error & I feel awful!!!

As a new grad myself, I know the feeling of making your first mistake and all the emotions that come with it: the sinking feeling in your stomach, the guilt, and the fear that "Maybe I'm not cut out for nursing??" The night after my first mistake, I ...
  10. What overwhelms you the most? What did NS NOT prepare you for?

I am two months into my new grad orientation and some days are better than others, but some days I pretty much feel like I want to cry and that I have been run over by a truck. Overall, my nursing program was good but I had a rude awakening when it ...
