I have heard that if a male and female RN apply for the same job, the male is more likely to get it (all else being equal)! If you agree or disagree please explain why or why not!?
After graduation, I have an RN position lined up in ICU. In the meantime, I am working as a CNA there to become familiar w/ the routine etc... I am concerned that when my title shifts from CNA to RN I won't have the respect of some of the staff, particularly the CNA's that are training me now! Do you have suggestions on how to avoid problems of transitioning?!
I have 2 Children under the age of 3 and after graduation, I will be working 7pm-7am. Any ideas on how to get the sleep I need during those days? Also, on my days off, should i try to stay awake during my "working hours" or just re-adjust when I am on.
P.S. I have a very understanding wife.
