    You don't need to be an extrovert to work in L&D. You need to be comfortable providing ongoing patient education, which involves engaged discussion.
  8. It depends on the facility. All units should strive to follow AWHONN staffing guidelines, which is typically 1:1 in labor, unless they are cervical ripening, in which case 1:2 is appropriate.
