   Read your hospital policy. I work oncology, so therefore, we give lots of blood products. FFP and platlets can be given over an hour or so depending on the Pt's cardiac history. Packed cells, over 2-3 hours. Hope this helps.

   A new Grad took a phone order for Gaviscon. Obviously she did not clarify and repeat with the physician because in the orders were written, "Gas is gone, 15ml prn" We all got a good laugh, including the new grad.

   I'm sorry. Don't give up! There are plenty of good nurses who didn't make it the first time, and no one would ever know. Never believe you are a loser, you made it through college, and that, is a huge accomplishment! If you are not currently work...
