  4. I had a dream I was giving a med, and as I handed the pt the little cup full of pills I glansed at the kardex for a tripple check, something i have made a habit of doing, and it was the wrong pt. I tried to yell at him to stop and not take the pills...

    :roll :roll and the toilet flushing the other way, that would be hard to deal with too. lol but seriously you should take a vacation, take a long time to really think it through, before you make any sudden moves.

    be sure that your heart and mind is open. when you start cna work look, listen, and learn by observing those around you. when I was an aid I had a nurse that would let me help he by holding pt as she did dressing changes, and helping with tube fead...

    as a nurse extern I can only ware white. The PCA at ware I work ware teal, I just love teal.:)

    yep, you can read it. It is your chart and belongs to you. mostly they suggest the doc being present so an explanation to any questions can be talked about, and because most lay people dont understand the abreviations ect... used in the chart.

    you dont have to be a CNA before you are a nurse. Its up to you, and there are great things you learn while being a CNA, but many nurses have never been CNAs and they are just as good as the ones who were.

    The ones that intimidate me are the cold, calus, strictly buisness, by the book, no nonsense, nurses. The kind you would love just once to see them make a mistake just to prove that they are human. The kind I feal like I cant joke around with, you...

    I was a cna for 6 years, always did what was asked of me. but I too would look at the nurses behind the desk, as I ran from room to room answering call lights and think to myself, why cant they help me? Now I know, and unless one goes to nursing sc...
