ASN to BS-HIM or RN-MSN NI?

Thank you so much RuggerKJ! I really like the streamlining, making the process easier, faster, safer. Troubleshooting is also interesting to me. Is there a particular job title I should be paying attention to in order to find a role like that? ...

ASN to BS-HIM or RN-MSN NI?

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations from those in the industry. If I only have my ASN, would it make more sense to get my BS HIM and get RHIA certified that to get my bachelor's in nursing just so I can get my MSN in Informatics? It seems li...

    Michigan License?

Has anyone with an IN license applied for a MI license? I've been told that I pay my $50 fee, apply for the license and I'll have it in a couple weeks. But all I can find on the MI website is an app where you have to show test results and proof of g...

    Bizzare medical question

I learned in school, either a nursing class or A&P, that it takes seven years for your skin cells to completely "turn over". That may be where the 7 years comes in, but don't see how the other part could be true. I mean, your surface skin cells...
  8. I just wanted to say that I now own both the GRX and a Littmann Lightweight. The sound is so much better on the lightweight. You can buy them in the $40 range. I would highly recommend buying a lightweight and not wasting your time with the GRX.

    Discouraging post...opinions?

It looks to me like here in Northern IN the pay is actually more for a CNM than an NP. One area hospital lists salary ranges right in the online job description. Check here. They don't have the NP positions listed now, but the CNM salary range is ...

    ER Tech interview

Hello! I am a nursing student in my first semester of clinicals, and I was just hired in the ED of a local Level II trauma center. I emphasized in my two interviews that I really appreciate the dynamics of the ER, I am an adrenaline junkie, I sharp...
  11. Has anyone been in this situation before? I'm doing very well in my other classes, and my other professors seem to really like my work. But I just cannot make my lab instructor happy. It's the most subjective class I have as far as grading. Toda...

    GPA for Frontier's ASN-MSN Bridge?

Thanks for the info guys! Right now I believe I have a 3.76 still, so I think I'm okay. I applied for a job in the nursery at the hospital where my clinical is. I'm so excited about that idea. Plus it would be good experience to have when I apply...

    GPA for Frontier's ASN-MSN Bridge?

Hello! Well, I got my first B in nursing school, and I'm wondering what GPA I need to get into Frontier's ASN-MSN Bridge program for CNM. It looks like I'm headed for my 2nd B in another nursing class (I still have time to possibly pull it back up...

    Aspiring CNMs who work L&D

Really? I thought CNMs could legally attend homebirths in any state! Wow, I never knew this. Where can I find info on this? I would like to look it up and see what states make it illegal. (Hopefully none border my state!) Thanks, Kate

    FNP vs. CPM?

You should also realize that there is a difference in CNM schools. Some are totally geared toward hospital birth, training midwives as "mini OBs" or "medwives" as I've heard them called lol. I can't say for sure which schools are this way, but I kn...
